Indian rapper Honey Singh took the music industry by storm with his rapping skills. The once well-know celebrity had to take a break from his career when he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Now that he is back, he has been opening about his experiences. During a recent interaction, while promoting his newly released song Yai Re, Singh recalled a time when he was obsessed with buying expensive cars.

Talking to Mashable India, the Blue Eyes singer revealed that he had bought a special number plate worth Rs 28 lakhs as he owned an Audi R8. Talking about the same, he said, "R8 thi mere paas. Uska number maine Maharashtra se khareeda tha kyunki number bhi R8 tha. Rs 28 lakh ka sirf number khareeda tha." The 39-year-old rapper went on to share that he had to sell all his cars to pay for his treatment and becausehe wanst able to drive them. He also revealed that he doesn't have an interest in cars anymore. He said, "Sab bech di. Bimar ho gaya tha toh sab bech di. Chala nahi sakta tha gaadi. Uske baad se gaadi chalane ka khatam hi ho gaya. Ab main chalata hi nahi gaadi." In one of his previous interviews, he had opened up about being subjected to trolling and criticisms by the public on social media. He had told RJ Siddharth Kanan, "It took me five years, I got better. I then wanted to make music. I told my mother, 'I'm unable to do anything'. She told me, 'You started as a music producer, start writing beats'... My songs became hit, I was making a comeback, but was facing failures too. Mota tha, logo ne kaha, 'Yeh woh look nahi hai, woh comeback nahi horaha'. Gaana hit horaha tha but mujhe accept nahi karahe the log."

Honey Singh recently made the headlines for remixing Urmila Mantondkar’s iconic song Yai Re from the film Rangeela (1990). He featured in the song alongside Iulia Vantur.
